This Blog represents the discussions, investigations and work of students from the Red Cross Collab Studio at Parsons School of Design, New York. The course is interested in the social responsibility and agency of design, designers and design thinking. Partnering with the Red Cross we are developing communicative strategies and prototypes to assist in resolving some of their immediate and longer-range concerns. The projects involve strategizing outcomes and scenarios through the lens of design and the projects stem from current real world concerns. These concerns operate at three different scales; the local level (the New York Chapter of the American Red Cross), the national level (the American Red Cross) and the international level (The Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre).
The course is run by Mathan Ratinam and Nigel Snoad.
